Some Facebook users are seeing a test of a new design for Facebook’s timeline profiles, in which the profile picture moves slightly to the left, and information that usually appears below the cover image is superimposed over the cover image in white type.

Our friends across the pond at allfacebook.de brought the test to our attention, noting that the user name, basic information, and the buttons for subscribe and message appear on the bottom of the cover image, in white text, rather than below the cover image, where they are located in the current timeline layout.
