Ad Pages Down, But Revenue Up through First Half of Year

Total magazine rate-card-reported advertising revenue through June closed at $11.1 billion, an increase of 3.2 percent over the same period in 2005, according to Publishers Information Bureau (PIB). However, the total number of ad pages fell during the same period to 114,705.61, a -0.2 percent decrease from the previous year.

Ad pages for the month of June increased 0.9 percent compared to the same month last year, closing at $1,946,546,602. Ad pages totaled 20,185.35, down 1.7%
