Internet users spent 30 billion more minutes on social media in 2012 than they did in 2011, according to a recent study. That’s an increase of 37 percent.

Where are they spending their time? Digital marketing agency iAcquire partnered with SurveyMonkey to measure the social behavior of internet users.

The researchers learned that while Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest users are primarily in their 30s and beyond, the under-30 crowd has moved on to other sites like DeviantArt, Github, reddit, and Orkut.Pinterest
