Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg took a shot at knocking down the great firewall of China during her visit to the country, meeting with State Council Information Office Director Cai Mingzhao.
Sandberg was in the country to promote the Chinese translation of her book, Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead, but she apparently took care of some Facebook-related business, as well, as the State Council Information Office website said she was there to discuss the social network’s “important role” in helping Chinese companies expand internationally, according to Bloomberg.
