Selfie, the Sitcom, is Coming to Television This Fall
The word Selfie is getting a lot more attention these days. Given that it was last year’s Oxford Dictionary word of the year – it’s no surprise that the word is getting some prime time action as a comedic television sitcom title.
From writer Emily Kapnek of Suburgatory, the show is supposedly fashioned after My Fair Lady:
Comedy inspired by My Fair Lady tells the story of a self-obsessed 20-something woman who is more concerned with ‘likes’ than being liked.
After suffering a very public and humiliating breakup, she becomes the subject of a viral video and suddenly has more social media ‘followers’ than she ever imagined — but for all the wrong reasons.
