Facebook Engineering Manager Rong Yan Joins Square
Electronic payments startup Square dipped into Facebook’s talent pool for the second time in the past few weeks, as its new data science lead is Rong Yan, an engineering manager on the social network’s ads team for the past four years, AllThingsD reported. Facebook Ads Product Director Gokul Rajaram announced in late June that he was leaving to join Square as product engineering lead.

Square told AllThingsD Yan will handle large-scale data analysis, interpreting and mining insights from data pulled in by the startup, which was founded by Twitter Co-Founder Jack Dorsey.
