Facebook Rewards Provider Plink Closes $3M Funding Round

Online-to-offline loyalty program Plink, which rewards its users with Facebook Credits, announced the closing Wednesday of a $3 million series-A funding round from Grotech Ventures.

Online-to-offline loyalty program Plink, which rewards its users with Facebook Credits, announced the closing Wednesday of a $3 million series-A funding round from Grotech Ventures.

Plink said it would use the funding to accelerate development of its platform for offline advertisers, as well as on member-acquisition marketing, and expanding its sales, marketing, and technology teams.

Plink users earn rewards by eating at restaurant chains including Arby’s, Burger King, Dunkin’ Donuts, Quiznos, Red Robin, and Taco Bell.

And following an agreement with digital gift card company Tango Card, announced in June, rewards from Amazon, The Gap, Home Depot, iTunes, Nike, and Target to Plink’s traditional offering of Facebook Credits.
