Only One-Fifth of Americans Use Online Dating Services

A recent study by YouGov found that while more than half of Americans agree that it’s easier to find a date online than in a public place, and over one-third of them think that online relationships can last, only one-fifth of Americans use online dating services.

Only six percent of respondents admitted to currently using online dating sites or apps, and three in five said they never tried online dating and didn’t know anyone who had.

Online dating among people in the 35 to 54 age group — who once made up the largest percentage of dating app users (76 percent) — has dropped significantly.
