Meanwhile, the National Football League in general and the Dallas Cowboys in particular remained atop the sports category.

The Soul Train Awards were responsible for 1.879 million total interactions across Facebook and Twitter, blowing away AMC’s The Walking Dead (555,000) and NBC’s The Voice (450,000).

And NFL games accounted for seven of the top 10 sports events for the week in terms of total interactions, led by the Cowboys’ victory over Thanksgiving Day guests the Washington Redskins, at 11.425
