Mother's Day: 229 Million Facebook Users, 1.8 Billion Interactions

More Facebook users posted about Mother’s Day than about Super Bowl XLIX, the 2015 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship and the 2014 Winter Olympic Games combined.

In a tribute to moms everywhere, more Facebook users worldwide posted about Mother’s Day than about Super Bowl XLIX, the 2015 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship and the 2014 Winter Olympic Games from Sochi, Russia, combined.

Facebook said that on Sunday alone, some 229 million users globally were responsible for approximately 1.8 billion interactions (posts, comments and likes), with the U.S. accounting for 90 million users and more than 1 billion interactions.
