AllFacebook’s look at the Facebook pages of Minor League Baseball teams continues with the class-A Midwest League. Class A is the lowest level in the minor-league system, where the least advanced prospects start out, but full-season class-A leagues are made up of more advanced prospects than short-season leagues. Following is a look at the Facebook pages of the 16 Midwest League teams, in order of likes. The team is also holding a contest where fans who visit Fifth Third Bank branches and take photos with Big Lug can win four tickets to a Lugnuts game. The TinCaps’ YouTube videos are available under a tab powered by Involver. West Michigan Whitecaps Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/wmwcaps Likes: 21.363 Major League affiliation: Detroit Tigers Notable features: Tickets can be purchased directly via the Whitecaps’ Facebook page. The club also offers a Whitecaps Rewards program, allowing fans to earn points toward prizes. Dayton Dragons Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/dragonsbaseball Likes: 18,927 Major League affiliation: Cincinnati Reds Notable features: The Dragons’ Facebook page contains tabs that link to its videos and to its Instagram feed, with the latter powered by Statigram. Wisconsin Timber Rattlers Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/WisconsinTimberRattlers Likes: 14,311 Major League affiliation: Milwaukee Brewers Notable features: Tickets can be purchased directly via the ball club’s page. The Timber Rattlers also feature the team’s Top Fans. The Hot Rods are also holding a contest tied to reaching 15,000 likes, with one fan winning an iPod Touch, 10 tickets to the fireworks game Aug. 24, a Corey Hart bobblehead, and a Hot Rods T-shirt.
