LinkedIn's Revenue Grew 86% in 2012

LinkedIn has reported an 86 percent growth in revenue for 2012, with $972.3 million in revenue compared to $522.2 million in 2011.This includes $303.6 million in revenue in quarter four, which represents an 81 percent increase year over year.

Net income also increased for the fourth quarter from $6.9 million in the fourth quarter of 2011 to $11.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2011.

The breakdown in revenue was consistent with that of previous years. Talent solutions are still the number one revenue stream, accounting for 53 percent of the total revenue in the fourth quarter of 2012, an increase from 51 percent in the fourth quarter of 2011.

In terms of share of revenue, marketing solutions in the fourth quarter went down from 30 percent in 2011 to 27 percent in 2012.
