Illinois Considering Banning Drivers From Wearing Google Glass

As with most new technology, legislation eventually will try to control how and where you can use it. Google Glass is no exception. The device has been facing prohibition in restaurants, and now law makers are trying to prevent drivers from using the smart glasses when driving.

In Illinois, Senator Ira Silverstein filed legislation barring motorists from using the device while driving, citing the potential distraction from perpetual connectivity. The Chicago Democrat said that driver’s “attention to the road should not be interrupted.”
