GlobalWebIndex segmented WhatsApp users by operating system in the infographic below, finding that 73 percent of the app’s users connect via Android devices, compared with just 22 percent via iOS on iPhones.
WhatsApp recently began extending support for its Web client to iOS, and GWI said in an email to SocialTimes:
There is still an important section of the WhatsApp community that is using iPhones, with just over one-fifth using iOS.
