Facebook's Non-Facebook Messaging App

Earlier this month, multiple sources reported that Facebook was working on an anonymous app. The app — Rooms — has since been released, but it doesn’t seem like any other Facebook product because of its nature and the lack of Facebook branding.

“A room is a feed of photos, videos, and text — not too different from the one you have on Instagram or Facebook — with a topic determined by whoever created the room,” the official blog post reads.
