Facebook has acquired Push Pop Press, which publishes e-books optimized for the iPad.

Facebook has acquired Push Pop Press, which publishes e-books optimized for the iPad. Financial terms of the deal remain unknown.

Facebook executives have previously said the company wanted to acquire around 15 startups this year, roughly twice the number bought in 2010 — the transactions often involve a selection of assets with a recruitment of talent, rather than a complete purchase of everything associated with the target.
