Facebook Events: Goodbye, ‘Maybe’; Hello, ‘Interested’

“Call me interested” doesn’t have the same ring to it as “call me maybe,” but it’s now the default option for Facebook users who are unwilling to fully commit to events.

The social network confirmed to The Next Web that it is phasing out the “maybe” button on events over the next few days and replacing it with “interested.”

Users who reply with interested will receive notifications and other updates about the events, according to The Next Web, which added that Facebook has been testing the switch to interested over the past few weeks, after first exploring the option in 2013.
