The screen-sharing technology often used by information-technology professionals to help solve computer issues is now available via a new Facebook application, Deskhop, from RealVNC, a developer of remote-access and control software.

The screen-sharing technology often used by information-technology professionals to help solve computer issues is now available via a new Facebook application, Deskhop, from RealVNC, a developer of remote-access and control software.

Deskhop is available free-of-charge, and the app is compatible with PCs and Macs. It enables users to run a small, temporary software program that grants them access to their fellow users’ screens after both users accept. The program is deleted when the session ends, for security reasons.
