Do you remember the big announcement about Skype’s integration with Facebook last July? Facebook may be testing a way to remind its users in the form of a “call’ button on their timeline profiles.

TechCrunch reported that the social network is testing the call button as an alternative to the video-camera icon it currently features in the window for text chats.

While video chatting has soared in popularity on services such as Hangouts on Google Plus and former Facebook President Sean Parker’s recently launched Airtime, it has languished on Facebook, as TechCrunch pointed out that services announced with Skype in July 2011 — group video chat, Facebook-to-Skype calling, Facebook to standard phone number audio calls — have yet to debut.
