A video posted on Facebook shows a man put a live baby rat in his mouth, take a drink, chew and swallow. The act is a misdemeanor in Utah.
A Utah man accused of eating a live baby rat and posting a video of it on Facebook was slapped with an animal cruelty charge — the state considers it a misdemeanor.
The video shows Andy Ray Harris, 31, put a hairless baby rat in his mouth, take a drink, chew and swallow. Then he high fives someone off camera.
The baby rat is seen squirming on a piece of paper before it’s eaten. People are heard cheering in the background after the deed is done.
