Facebook announced an addition to its developer alerts, application-programming-interface error notifications, in a post on its developer blog.

The social network said developers will be alerted if their apps encounter abnormally high API error rates, adding that the alerts will include information on the method name, as well as error codes and corresponding error descriptions.

Facebook added that rollout of the feature began Wednesday and will be extended to all apps “in the coming weeks.”
