5th Planet Games Raises $3 Million for Expansion of Core Mobile Games Business

Core mobile and web game developer 5th Planet Games has announced it has raised $3 million in funding from Sacramento-based DCA Capital Partners and Moneta Ventures. The funding is the first for the company, which has grown to more than 70 employees with the success of its core role playing games like Dawn of the Dragons and Legacy of a Thousand Suns.

The funding will be used to speed up the future development of new games, as well as support marketing campaigns for the company’s titles on both web and mobile.
