Toyota is backing its new Toyota Corolla Cross with a “Miles and Milestones” campaign on Spotify, featuring influencers Emmy Cho, James Henry and Jesús Morales.
Cho, Henry and Morales shared curated playlists featuring songs that mark significant times in their lives, and those playlists include annotations that share their stories and the meaning behind their curated track lists.
Spotify said revenue tied to bookings from auto clients increased 52.8% in 2021 when compared with 2020, and it finished last year with 11% more advertisers in the sector, spotlighting campaigns including “My City Unlocked” from Hyundai and “Conversations From the Future” from Volvo.
Spotify category development officer, automotive Craig Weingarten said in a statement, “We’re all familiar with how music can transport us back to some of our favorite memories, and there’s also a natural connection between audio and auto that is beautifully highlighted in this campaign.
