This time last year, hardly anyone knew about Clubhouse—the invite-only social audio app that subsequently stirred up an internet buzz during the Covid-19 pandemic, drawing celebrities, business gurus and everything in between.

Homebound iPhone users starved for human interaction found solace, excitement or inspiration in the platform’s live drop-in format, and marketers quickly created a niche for conversations around advertising and brand building.

Kat Cole, former COO and president of Focus Brands and board member for Milk Bar, Slice and HumanCo, was an early adopter of Clubhouse.
