Snapchatters Gear Up for a Return to Movie Theaters

NRG found that they were 1.7 times more likely to see a movie on premiere weekend than non-users

As Covid-19 vaccines become more widely available and more businesses begin reopening their doors or increasing their capacities, the No. 1 post-pandemic activity that Snapchatters are looking forward to is going to the movies.

Snap Inc. found that Snapchat users were significantly more likely to cite movies as their most-desired post-pandemic activity than non-users.

The company wrote in a blog post Wednesday, “Close your eyes for a moment. If you try hard enough, can you almost smell the faint scent of buttery popcorn? Can you feel the excited hush fall over the crowd as the theater lights dim? We can.
