Snap Inc. and Ticketmaster unveiled two ways Wednesday for Snapchatters to discover events to attend and purchase tickets: a Snap Mini and a Layer for Snap Map.
Snap Minis—bite-sized utilities built with HTML5 that work for all Snapchatters on all devices, with no installation required—debuted in July 2020 after being introduced at the Snap Partner Summit one month earlier.
Snapchatters can access the Ticketmaster Mini, Ticketmatcher, via the rocket icon in chat on the Snapchat application. After filling out a brief survey to determine their interests, they will see suggested upcoming shows based on those preferences, and they can swipe left or right to browse the results.
Once an event is selected, the users can see if any of their friends on Snapchat have matched with the same event, start a conversation via the Snapchat Camera directly from the Mini, invite friends, start a guest list and post directly to chat or their...
