As more people receive the Covid-19 vaccine, searches on Pinterest are beginning to reflect thoughts of a post-pandemic life.
Pinterest said that while searches for topics including baking, home organization and mindfulness reached all-time highs during the thick of the pandemic, the needle is now moving toward topics like outfits and vacations, although searches for things like home renovations remain robust, as the housing boom across the U.S. shows no signs of slowing.
Another topic that experienced a rebound was weddings, with related searches returning to pre-pandemic levels after plunging from March through May 2020.
Pinterest said searches for vacations are accelerating faster than pre-pandemic levels, adding that searches including the word “vacation” historically spiked in march, as Pinners began planning spring and summer travels, but it has seen a significant acceleration in 2021.
