Red Nose Day, the annual fundraising initiative spearheaded by Comic Relief US and Walgreens, will once again be virtual in 2021.

Red Nose Day kicked off in 2015 and, from 2015 through 2019, Walgreens sold red noses in its stores across the country to raise money for the campaign to end child poverty.

However, Covid-19 forced a pivot to digital filters across Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat last year, and 2021 will be handled the same way.

Red Nose Day raised over $42 million last year, and its total since debuting in 2015 is more than $240 million.
