Pinterest is marking Women’s History Month by providing 10 women-owned businesses on its platform with monetary and strategic support through its Pinterest Elevates program.
Pinterest Elevates started up in 2020 as the Community Rebuild program, with the goal of assisting Black business owners who were heavily impacted by the pandemic, and it expanded to cover 55 businesses owned by people who are BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and people of color), disabled or LGBTQ+.
The company said the idea for this new cohort of women-owned businesses was formed at the fourth annual Pinterest Women’s Conference last December, and it is investing a total of $100,000, with each participant receiving ad credits and a personal coach to help them boost their brand visibility and better connect with Pinners.
They will be offered tailored training, insights and personalized performance optimization.
