Petco turned to Facebook Live Thursday night with both commerce and a cause in mind.
The pet retailer hosted Facebook Live: The Perfect Fit with the dual goal of showing off pet fashions from its Reddy and Youly owned brands and having adoptable rescue dogs from Los Angeles Animal Services do the showing off.
Petco vice president of media transformation Jay Altschuler told Adweek, “The puppies showcased a variety of styles, all of which were available for purchase in real-time.”
“People are very motivated to support causes,” Facebook application commerce head of product Yulie Kwon Kim told Adweek.
