Google shared an update on how people are using its products—Google Maps, Google Search and YouTube—to shop during the pandemic, particularly on the local level.
Director of online to offline ad solutions Igor Liskovets said in a blog post Monday, “We’ve seen that shoppers don’t just turn to Google for things they want to buy on the web; they also use Google to find what they need nearby. Over the past year, we’ve seen a significant increase in commercial intent across Google including Google Search, Google Maps and YouTube.”
