If you thought you were safe from ads after escaping to virtual reality, think again: Oculus From Facebook will begin a small test of in-headset ads on the Oculus Quest platform.
The social network’s VR unit said in May that it would begin testing ads for Oculus content within its mobile application, and going in-headset marks the next step.
The test will kick off with Blaston from Resolution Games and two other games from two other developers, and the aim is to provide those developers with new ways to generate revenue via the Oculus platform and to make that platform a self-sustaining one that can support multiple business models that unlock new types of content and audiences for its users.

Oculus said in a blog post that once it incorporates feedback on this limited test from developers and its user community, it will share details on when it may be further extended...
