TikTok banned political ads from its platform in October 2019, saying at the time that they did not fit with the experience provided by its platform, but there are ways around that ban, and they are being exploited, according to a new report from Mozilla.
Researchers from Mozilla tapped TikTok’s application-programming interface and examined posts on the platform, sharing its findings in “Th€se Are Not Po£itical Ad$: How Partisan Influencers Are Evading TikTok’s Weak Political Ad Policies.”
