Meta chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg and Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter, entrepreneur and philanthropist Ciara shared the microphone at the 2021 Forbes Next 1000 Summit Friday.
Sandberg said during the virtual event that Meta will donate $250,000 to U.S. Black Chambers to further support the pandemic recovery efforts of local Black-owned small and midsized businesses.
And Ciara is teaming up with Meta Elevate to nominate 10 Black-owned businesses for one-on-one mentorship, with each nominee receiving six weeks of dedicated support from Meta to help them build effective marketing campaigns on Facebook and Instagram.
Meta will provide those SMBs with $100,000 in ad credits and creative support, and nominees will also receive a scholarship for Meta Blueprint’s digital marketing skills certificate.
