Instagram global vice president of marketing Melissa Waters is leaving the company just a year-and-a-half after joining it from health, wellness and fitness startup Hims & Hers, where she had been chief marketing officer for a little over one year.
Meta had not responded to a request for comment at the time of this post.
Waters revealed her move in a LinkedIn post, saying she will pursue a new role outside of Instagram parent Meta but not providing any further details aside from, “While our time was shorter than I planned for, sometimes an opportunity calls that’s worth saying yes to (more on that later).”
Prior to Hims & Hers, she held high-level marketing roles with Lyft, Pandora, Cisco and Diamond Foods.
