YouTube Tuesday revealed the winners of its 2021 YouTube Works Awards, which recognize the most effective use of its platform in ad campaigns in the U.S.

The Google-owned video site shared some common traits of the seven winners, adding research from Kantar:

  • Adapting to meet the moment: YouTube viewers are used to viewing real-time and hyper-relevant content, and 2020 was a yearlong global circumstance that brands addressed in a variety of creative ways. Kantar said 88% of finalists used YouTube’s features, targeting and ability to generate conversation, while 59% spoke to the moment that 2020 presented to us all.
