Platforms are publicly losing their frenemy status as they get cozy with publishers by cutting global content-sharing deals.
Top line
German media company Axel Springer is among them, having just signed a global content-sharing deal with Facebook. Articles and videos from its owned titles Bild and Welt in Germany, and Insider, based in New York, will feature on the platform’s Facebook News product.
The agreement also includes registration-free access to a limited amount of paid content from Bild and Welt.
