Facebook is gearing up for the holiday shopping season with daily live shopping experiences on Facebook and Instagram starting Nov. 1, the return of the #BuyBlack Friday initiative to highlight Black-owned businesses and exclusive gifts and deals from Facebook Shops and Instagram Shops that will be unlocked when people make purchases on the two platforms.

Vice president of product management Yulie Kwon Kim told Adweek, “This holiday season will be make or break for many small and midsized businesses.
