Walmart Is Expanding Its Unlimited Grocery Delivery Service

The monthly fee will increase in some trial markets

Walmart said it is extending its unlimited grocery delivery service to the 200 metro areas in which it delivers groceries “based on the positive response of customers.”

Customers who want to avail themselves of the service will pay $98 a year, $12.95 a month or a per-delivery fee.

Walmart tested the service—and price points—in Houston, Miami, Salt Lake City and Tampa, Fla., earlier this year. Customers in Houston and Miami previously got the service for $9.95 a month, but, after “testing and learning,” as a Walmart spokesperson previously told Adweek, it appears Walmart settled on the higher end of the monthly fee spectrum.

In January, Walmart said grocery delivery was in 100 metro areas and it planned to add 200 additional metros by the end of the year.
