Twitter Users in US to See Prompts on Voting by Mail, Election Results

They will appear atop the timeline and during searches for related terms

Twitter continues to take steps to thwart misinformation on its platform related to the upcoming presidential election in the U.S., showing two prompts to all U.S. users starting Monday.

The first prompt will address voting by mail, enforcing the fact that it is safe and secure, while the second will remind people that official announcements of election results may be delayed due to numerous factors.

Both prompts will link to Twitter Moments providing more context and credible information from election experts, journalists and authoritative news sources.

The prompts will be available in 42 languages, and they will appear in the timeline of every person with a Twitter account located in the U.S.,
