TikTok released its latest transparency report, which shows all content and ads removed from the platform since this time last year.

The company, owned by Chinese tech company ByteDance, removed more than 5 million ads from April-June of this year. It also shared data on the countries with the highest volume of removed videos across many topics, for reasons that include hateful behavior, harassment and bullying, with the most videos removed in the U.S.

Through an automated detection program and using human fact checkers, the platform has identified 33 new types of misinformation.

“While violations of our integrity and authenticity policies make up less than 1% of overall video removals, these continued investments have brought gains to our proactive detection and enforcement of these policies,” according to the report.
