Last November, Twitter’s MoPub mobile monetization platform kicked off a pilot with mobile data and analytics company App Annie, which gave marketers access to new inventory packages that allowed them to target popular applications on iOS and Android as ranked by App Annie (for instance, the top-downloaded apps worldwide or the top-downloaded games in the U.S.).

MoPub

MoPub Monday formally rolled out MoPub Inventory Packages powered by App Annie. This product offering will allow marketers to target ads based on current trends on the iTunes App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android).

MoPub said in a blog post, “With insights and data from App Annie, MoPub can create inventory packages that identify mobile app supply based on trends in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. We can also help advertisers tap into top apps classified by in-app revenue; apps curated by age, gender and regions of users; and by leading categories such as entertainment, sports, news or lifestyle.”

This new offering is available now. To learn more, visit MoPub’s blog.
