The holiday shopping season is The Season for Shops on Instagram.

The Facebook-owned photo- and video-sharing network Monday rolled out a complete guide for retailers looking to prepare for the most lucrative time of the year.

The Season for Shops provides details on creating a digital storefront using Commerce Manager and then using shopping tags so people can learn about and buy products, collections to showcase more of their offerings and shopping ads to reach their audiences and drive sales.

Instagram chief operating officer Justin Osofsky said in a statement, “As small businesses prepare for a holiday season with more people buying online than ever before, we want to help them thrive on Instagram during the shopping season. This new digital resource features easy-to-follow guides and tips for setting up your Instagram shop, reaching customers with tags and ads and creating inspiring holiday product collections.”
