Index Exchange Hires to Cement its CTV Future

The advertising marketplace appoints Ray Ghanbari as chief technology officer to oversee its new exchange

Advertising marketplace Index Exchange has appointed Ray Ghanbari as its new chief technology officer, replacing former CTO Marc Staveley, who will retire at the end of 2021 after serving for three years. Currently, Index has nearly 50 open technical roles, including 45 in engineering, which will support its recently revamped exchange.

Ghanbari is based out of San Diego and will oversee the company’s teams from engineering to IT across multiple global offices.

“I’m so excited to welcome Ray to Index to build on top of our new exchange foundation … it’s an incredible opportunity for him to come in and build an exciting future for 2022 and beyond,” president and chief executive officer Andrew Casale told Adweek, emphasizing how essential this new appointment will be following the company’s improved exchange, announced mid-November.
