Facebook introduced new News Feed controls Thursday for both users and advertisers on its platform.

The social network said it is testing new ways to make it easier for users to find and use controls that enable them to adjust their ranking preferences and customize their News Feed experience.

As part of this, people now have the ability to increase or lower the amount of content they see in their News Feed from family, friends, groups and pages they are connected to, as well as topics they have expressed interest in via their News Feed preferences.

Facebook is also experimenting with ways to make controls such as favorites, reconnect, snooze and unfollow easier to access.
