Facebook detailed more advertising options Thursday for its in-stream video ads, Instagram Reels and Facebook Stories.

The social network cited a study by Ipsos last November, which found that Instagram and Facebook were the most popular platforms among video viewers for connecting with brands.

Facebook kicked off a global test Thursday of in-stream video topics, which enable brands to place ads in certain video topics via Ads Manager and align their brand messaging with contextually relevant content to their target audience.

The test will start with more than 20 topics, such as sports, and over 700 sub-topics (baseball, basketball, golf and swimming, for example).
