Criteo Completes Revised Deal to Acquire Ad-Tech Firm Iponweb

The $250 million transaction was finalized as the company released its half-year financial results

The acquisition for British headquartered ad-tech platform Iponweb has been completed by Criteo in a deal worth less than the original $380 million that was initially agreed upon.

Global commerce media company Criteo proposed the agreement to accelerate its commerce media platform strategy targeting enterprise marketers while offering further monetization opportunities for media owners, including retailers, and offering first party data management.

Founded in 2001 by Dr. Boris and Natalia Mouzykantskii, Iponweb was originally intended to focus on internet software development for the intellectual property law sector but has grown to become a demand side and supply side advertising platform with offices in London, New York, Tokyo, Berlin, Switzerland and Cyprus.
