Alphabet Revenue Soared 62% to Hit $61.9 Billion in Q2

Over the last three months, the world’s biggest digital advertiser brought in more than $560 million in advertising revenue every day. Google’s $50.4 billion ad haul is the lion’s share of parent company Alphabet’s $61.9 billion in revenue for the just-completed Q2.

Top line

Alphabet’s earnings represents a 62% year-on-year increase from Q2 last year, a period that saw the company post its first-ever revenue decline due to the effects of the global pandemic.

In a prepared statement, Alphabet and Google CEO Sundar Pichai, said the results demonstrated a “rising tide of online activity.”
