Would You Still Spend $20 Bills If A Woman Was On Them?

Answer: Yes.

There’s a new campaign, Women on 20s, that seeks to get the face of a notable woman on the $20 bill, replacing Andrew Jackson. The suggestions (sample above) range from Rosa Parks to Eleanor Roosevelt.

“It’s our mission to generate an overwhelming people’s mandate for a new $20 bill, to be issued in time for the 100th anniversary in 2020 of the Constitutional amendment giving women the right to vote,” says the campaign page.

Barbara Ortiz Howard founded the campaign and her executive director and campaign strategist is an award-winning journalist, Susan Ades Stone, who has worked with CNN, the MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour and The World Science Festival.
