Speaking as the entire wearable technology armada descends on Las Vegas for CES 2016, Eric Franchi, co-founder of digital advertising firm Undertone, boldly predicts that consumers will forgo wearable tech for a more smartphone-centric existence by 2020.

Franchi says he is also most excited to see the gains in virtual reality tech on display at CES and the promise that the VR of the near future will place users in any context—even the past.
